Could you please tell us what made you choosing Muratec machine?

Because it is possible to realize the automation for heavy and large-diameter workpieces with a compact machine.
At first, we were considering automation with a lathe and cobot, but if we set the specifications for the target workpiece, the whole system would be larger, and it was not realistic in terms of both space and cost.

When I was looking for any machines that can be automated with loaders instead of cobots, Muratec proposed a parallel 2-spindle CNC chucker "MW400".

We could see the stability on transportation of heavy objects even it is compact machine, and also could see there is plenty of cutting space inside the machine.
Therefore, I felt that even large workpieces could be handled with confidence.

I heard that it was your first time to use a lathe machine with gantry loader, but did you have any concerns about the operation?

To be honest, we were worried at first.
However, when we actually use it, the operation is very simple because the controls of the main machine and loader is integrated.
I like it because it's easy to handle and I can get the dimensions I aimed.

What changes have you seen in your production factory since installing Muratec products?

Of course, cutting accuracy is important, but overall, I feel that “reliable automation” that does not require manpower has progressed.

Previously, we have installed an aftermarket loader on our lathe to automate it.
But because these controls were separate, it required manual adjustments everytime to set up its ready-to-run conditions.

Muratec machine can be started with just pushing one button, and its accuracy and operation are stable, therefore making plans of daily production became much easier than before.

Final question, could you please tell us about your future prospects and challenges?

We would like to consider the entire layout of our production area that will improve the work efficiency and expand our business.
We have know-how in material manufacturing, but we are still not experienced in the processing field very much, and there are still points to update for layout arrangement of our factory.
We would improve them and build more efficient machine operations.
